How We Work

Service Lifts offers a full turnkey Dumbwaiter Lift Package alongside Dumbwaiter Maintenance, Repairs and Lift Removals. We understand that dealing with unfamiliar products can often be daunting if you don’t know the process. So to help explain how we work, we’ve set out a typical step-by-step guide to the main project steps.

STEP 1

Get in Touch

As dumbwaiter specialists, we are always delighted to hear from you, and we love talking “All Things Lifts”. We respond quickly to queries and provide expert advice first time, no fuss.

STEP 2

Establishing Use

In our opinion, the best way to start a project is to fully understand how you intend to use your dumbwaiter. This allows us to advise on dumbwaiter sizes, specifications and load capacities.

STEP 3

Quotation

Now that we’ve established the Who, What, Where and When, we can put together your personalised dumbwaiter quotation. This will include a lift specification, costs, lead times and any optional extras.

You’ll receive your quotation via email within 24 hours.

STEP 4

Technical Drawings

Fantastic! You’ve decided to work with us on your exciting project. The next stage involves working through the “nuts and bolts” of the lift design to ensure you are completely satisfied with the dumbwaiter size and specification.

STEP 5

Site Survey

We believe this is the most important stage of the process. Arranged to suit your schedule, our site visit will allow us to assess site conditions and ensures a smooth installation. Our visit includes shaft measurement, site assessment, meeting site representatives and confirming installation dates of your dumbwaiter.

STEP 6

Lift Installation

Our engineers will arrive on site on the morning of your installation day. Ready to start assembly from 9am, the installation usually takes 1-2 days to complete. Once the lift installation is finished, you or your site representative will be informed and the lift installation will be completed in structure form.

NOTE: Following lift installation the lift will require cladding (preferably by a qualified builder) to enclose the structure in a material to suit your design and requirements. Dumbwaiters are often enclosed in plaster board or similar materials.

STEP 7

Lift Servicing

Your first year’s servicing is free of charge and, should you require any, we are just a phone call away.
